Inspired by the Mangrove Nine. Each member of the activist group is represented by the one of nine corten steel roots. The roots mesh together to provided a protective space for the community.
This garden raises awareness of the impact that social injustice can have on local communities, that same parallel can be seen in the impact humankind can have on the world’s most important ecosystems, including mangroves.
